Thursday 26 February (Geoconservation day): Buckpool, Stourbridge, led by Paul Stephenson (Birmingham and Black Country Wildlife Trust). Meet at 10.30. Wear old clothes and stout footwear. Please bring gloves and garden tools; loppers, secateurs, forks and spades if you have them. Also bring lunch. Finish at 2.30.
Meet at the far end of Watery Lane, off Brierley Hill Road B4180 for Cooknall Hill Quarry ( SO 8949 8698)
Work is to clear vegetation along old quarry of late Permian, Bridgnorth Sandstone overlaid by pebble beds of Triassic age, Kidderminster formation.
