Field Meeting to Dudley Museum and Archive

10.30 – 1.00
13 June

Saturday 13 June (Field Meeting): Dudley Museum and Archive. Leader Graham Worton. Meet in the downstairs foyer of the Archives Building, Tipton Rd, Dudley DY1 4SQ (Grid ref: SO 950 912), at 10.15 for a 10.30 start. Graham will take us on a guided tour of the building and the museum exhibitions, detailing the move in 2016/2017 when the old museum closed, the change in circumstances and change in purpose and design of the new museum. Graham will also talk about the function and setting as the headquarters and orientation centre for the Geopark. During the day it is likely that there will be some fossil identification and craft activities going on in the Education Room. Plenty of free car parking is available around the Archive building. Finish: 12.30 – 1.00.
